No prob man. Your stuff really does rock. I think Im gonna work on some stencil stuff this weekend. Any advice for getting started? Links, etc?

For stenciling, I usually print out the reference photo after making any need adjustments in Photoshop and scale it to whatever size is needed in Paint. With any stencil, take your time cutting, because the more time invested in getting all of the details, the more impressive the result.

After aligning a layer on the surface you are going to paint, I usually tape an edge down to keep the positioning, then flip over the paper to spray it with adhesive. Then, I smooth out the paper, make sure there are no areas lifted that might cause underspray, and then I paint it with light, dusting motions to make sure I'm not applying too much paint.

Just take your time to mask off everything properly, etc., and experiment.

Whoa thanks for the info!

Two quick questions:
What do you mean scale in Paint? The windows program?

and what is the adhesive for?

Thanks a bunch!

Yes, Microsoft Paint. I use it for larger stencils where I need to print multiple sheets. Just go to "page setup" and uncheck horizontal and vertical alignment, set the margins to 0.75 inches, and however many sheets you want.

Adhesive keeps the stencil applied to the surface while you're spraying it so that it prevents underspray. Not everyone uses it, some people just hold down what they're spraying, etc. But I find it makes the cleanest stencils by using spray adhesive.

No problem, my friend. Glad to help out.
